The Yo-Zuri Ultra Omorig is a medium size, but specialized squid jig, with a transparent body, that allows sunlight to pass through. It possesses very specific features, that make it effective to very specific situations in squid fishing.

The Yo-Zuri Ultra Omorig is a Slow Sinking squid jig, which means it is ideal for shallow areas, or in cases where the squids are actively hunting in the upper levels of the water column. Due to its size and low weight, the Yo-Zuri Ultra Omorig, can only be casted when there is no head wind, or it will not cast far.

The Ultra Omorig displays a horizontal posture during descent, which combined with the slow sinking speed, it can make a difference in the number of catches. The Slow Sinking Horizontal posture, does not make squids wary and is the ideal action when the activity in the area is low.

However, it has also been designed to be used from the boat, with a Tataki rig and a sinker, in order to look for squids in the lower levels of the water column. If there are currents in the area and you use a long branch line, the Yo-Zuri Ultra Omorig will suspend and move towards the direction of the currents.
