Major Craft’s Big Eye Omorig Sinker is a tapered lead for Ika Metal Omorig!
The Omorig is a particular rig of the Ika Metal technique, which involves the use of a lead like this and an Egi type squid lure.
As you can see in the photo number 2, the lead can be connected to the swivel using a snap; a 1.5m fluorocarbon leader is attached to the swivel and a snap is connected where an Egi can be inserted.
The technique involves casting a few meters away from the boat and sinking the leader towards the bottom; in this way the Egi will have a slower and more natural presentation, attracting even the slowest and most apathetic squid.
