The Major Craft Tidrift 5G utilises major Craft’s latest blank making technology to give a rod which is light, slim and strong. It sits beautifully in the hand and has a lovely responsive feel when both casting and playing fish.

By adopting the new carbon manufacturing method “R360 structure” and the latest Toray T1100G carbon this rod combines both these valuable assets into one outstanding rod.
Arranging the carbon fibers in a straight vertical , diagonical right “fade” , diagonical left and then sideways horizontal directions the result is an ultra-lightweight blank that combines immense power and tension. Unlike the conventional carbon tape reinforcement on the blank surface, the R360 blank is composed of carbon sheets in multi-axial direction. This ultimate blank structure due to it’s carbon arrangement responds to 360 degree forces.

This special-spec rod was developed at the request of staff member Harutoshi Sakai from Kawasaki City, resulting in a uniquely versatile and performance driven design.
Engineered to cover an exceptionally wide lure range from 12 cm class minnows all the way up to big baits this rod delivers true multi-role capability without compromise.
The tip-to-belly section is never overly stiff, allowing anglers to clearly feel the load of standard minnow weights for smooth, accurate casting. When maximum power is required, the flexible yet powerful butt section enables confident casting and control of large minnows and big baits with ease.
Thanks to this carefully balanced blank design, even the most subtle bites are transmitted cleanly, allowing for reliable hooksets. At the same time, the strong yet forgiving blank maintains full control during battles with trophy-class fish exceeding 90 cm, keeping consistent pressure and absorbing violent runs with confidence.
