Smaller Body
SF tuned models have one size smaller body than LT size so that everything gets smaller and even lighter.

Smaller Main Shaft and Rearrange Parts Inside
Main shaft has also been smallened and rearraranged all parts inside to create approx. 16% more of sensitivity.

Short Spool
This is interesting, DAIWA decided to feature shortened spool to the SF models, which is completely opposite way from SHIMANO long spool.

By this update, line angle will be smaller when line is dragged out, which makes dragging smooth even more.
Max drag power is set up to 3kg and therefore you can set even more sensitive drag tunes.

ST SF: Smaller SF body and spool without Magsealed, with oil based ball bearings
I felt this is like a “F-1 Car” type of things, the lightest feel in the DAIWA’s history.
Light weight and light spinning, less durability (theoretically), less torque and power as gears are smaller and handle arms are shorter.
This is the one especially for when you really love finesse fishing type.
