Matching the BG series of reels, Daiwa offers a comprehensive series of sea rods for areas in Norway, the Baltic Sea and tropical waters. The BG series line includes rods for fishing cod, coal and flounder with natural and artificial baits, but also rods for fishing with surface baits such as poppers and stickbaits for GT and mahi mahi, for jigging for amberjack and deep fishing for redfish and Ling. Of course, this series also offers travel rods with short sections for the most common methods of sea fishing – especially for Norway.
The durable HMC+ blank, equipped with saltwater resistant titanium oxide guides, DPS-H or DPS reel seat with locking screw and durable EVA handle make these rods a reliable companion during uncompromising fishing paths in the world’s oceans.
The BG Popper was developed for fishing with surface baits such as large stickbaits and poppers.
A slightly softer tip in combination with a hard spine easily transports surface lures from 70 to 120 grams at a distance. Extra large salt water resistant rings allow thick lines to be used without problems. The BG Popper is also great for slightly more difficult flounder fishing with big rubber lures in Norway!
